Wear loose clothing to prevent irritation, and resist the urge to scratch or pick at your tattoo as it heals. Proper aftercare will help your tattoo maintain its color and detail for years to come.

Before your tattoo session, make sure to get plenty of rest, eat well, and keep your skin moisturized. Avoid alcohol and any painkillers that thin the blood for at least 24 hours before the appointment. Wear comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the area where you'll be getting your tattoo.
